Three baton-wielding police officers rain blows on a protester during a
violent march in northern India. Shocking photos taken at the scene show the topless man crying out in pain as
he's surrounded by cops and beaten repeatedly - while bystanders look on and
take souvenir snaps.
The man was one of a number of Kashmiri government workers, marching for
better working conditions in the Indian state. Among their demands, protesters want to be paid regularly. But they met strong opposition from the police and six people were injured
during yesterday's clash.
