Saudi
Arabia’s feared religious police arrested a Pakistani mobile phone
dealer after kissing a girl in a public place in the conservative Gulf
Kingdom.
Members
of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice
had watched the man as he drove through the streets of the western town
of Taif with two girls, Sabq Arabic language daily said.
“They
were told that he kissed one girl at a traffic signal….they deployed a
large force and waited for him to reach his shop before swooping on his
car and arresting him and the two girls,” the paper said.
