Barcelona Star Xavi Hernández Gets MARRIED To Fiancée in Spain

Barcelona star Xavi got married to his partner Nuria Cunillera, with the majority of his team-mates in attendance.

The couple, who have been dating since before Spain's victorious Euro 2012 campaign, will spend their honeymoon in the Seychelles after being seen off by most of the Barca squad.

Xavi and his fashion journalist wife held the ceremony in Marimurta Botanical Gardens in Girona - in northern Catalonia - before the 180 guests partied for the reception at a 15th Century monastery.

Lionel Messi was there, as well as Cesc Fabregas and Xavi's midfield partner Andres Iniesta, all with their partners, as well as Liverpool keeper Pepe Reina.

Among those not to make the event were Gerard Pique and pop star girlfriend Shakira and club captain Carles Puyol, who were both abroad. Iker Casillas, goalkeeping legend for Barcelona's bitter rivals Real Madrid, was also invited but was on holiday with TV presenter girlfriend Sara Carbonero.
