Monica, a.k.a. Monica Brown has officially changed her Twitter bio to include her role as "Mommy" to her new baby girl, Laiyah.
The RnB singer gave birth Tuesday (Sept. 3) to her first child with her husband, Phoenix Suns guard Shannon Brown. According to Bossip.com, family friend Vanessa Bryant broke the news via Instagram.
"I am so honored to announce that baby Laiyah Brown has arrived! Mommy and baby are healthy and well. Congratulations @shannonbrown26 and @monicamylife! We love you guys and we can't wait to meet Laiyah! #6lbs 9/3/13," wrote Bryant, wife of Shannon Brown's former Lakers teammate Kobe Bryant.
The father took to Instagram to share the love as well, writing, "I THANK GOD for her!!! JOY has been restored in my LIFE!!!"

Monica also has two sons, Rodney and Romelo, with rapper Rocko; and Brown has a son, Shanonn Christopher. The two met Brown when he was cast as Monica's love interest for her 2010 music video, "Love All Over Me." They got married in July 2011.
