Drake capped off a big night at the 55th Grammys by announcing the name of
his upcoming third album. Fresh off his win in the Best Rap Album
category - in which his acclaimed 2011 sophomore set, Take Care, beat out discs by Nas, Rick Ross and 2 Chainz
The rapper revealed that the name of his third album will be 'Nothing Was the Same' in a red-carpet interview with E Entertainment's Ryan Seacrest.
The announcement—on top of last week's leak of new single "Started
From the Bottom"—has Drake fans chomping at the bit, and who could blame
them? On top of the Grammy victory, Drake's last album, Take Care, sold more than a million copies in the U.S thanks to highlights cuts including "Marvin's Room" and "The Motto."
Drake told Seacrest the album was fueled by self-discovery. "I think
music, it’s a process that we all go through," he said. "It's an
evolution. You're constantly figuring out what works for you. I think
[on] Take Care I really found myself and found my stride."
With his new hardware and a new album on the way, Drake is,
unsurprisingly, thrilled. "I'm just excited about life in general," he
told Seacrest.
