Grammys 2013: The Black Keys, Jay-Z & Kanye West Win Early and List Of Other Winners

Before the 55th Grammy Awards went on air live, some of the trophies had been handed out during the pre-telecast show. The Black Keys, Jay-Z, Kanye West and Gotye were among the winners, already bagging multiple prizes early on Sunday, February 10 night. 
The Ohio duo of Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney won Best Rock Album for their record "El Camino". Their song "Lonely Boy" was also chosen as the Best Rock Song, while Auerbach nabbed another gong for Producer of the Year (Non-Classical). "This is amazing," Auerbach said when taking the stage to accept his third award.

Jay-Z and Kanye's joint track "N****s in Paris" earned the titles of Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song. The Roc Nation founder's wife Beyonce Knowles also grabbed a prize at the pre-telecast for Best Traditional R&B Performance thanks to "Love on Top".

Gotye nabbed Best Pop Duo/Group Performance trophy for his hit song "Somebody That I Used to Know" ft. Kimbra. His album "Making Mirrors" was picked as the winner in Best Alternative Music Album category.

Another artist who already grabbed multiple prizes was Skrillex whose album "Bangarang" was named Best Dance/Electronica Album. The title song featuring Sirah was chosen as Best Dance Recording. Skrillex won another award, Best Remixed Recording, (Non-Classical) for "Promises (Skrillex & Nero Remix)".

Music beauties Taylor Swift, Rihanna and Carrie Underwood took home one prize each at the pre-telecast. The "Mean" singer nabbed Best Song Written for Visual Media for "Safe & Sound" ("The Hunger Games" soundtrack). "I'm fine with one, but if they want to give me more, I'm totally cool with that, too!" she commented on her early win.

RiRi won Best Short Form Music Video for "We Found Love" which features Calvin Harris. "American Idol" alumna Carrie, meanwhile, won Best Country Song for "Blown Away".

More prizes will be handed out during the 2013 Grammy live show which is taking place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. LL Cool J hosts the event for the second year in a row.

  • Best R&B Performance: "Climax" - Usher
  • Best Traditional R&B Performance: "Love on Top" - Beyonce Knowles
  • Best R&B Song: "Adorn" - Miguel
  • Best R&B Song: "Black Radio" - Robert Glasper Experiment
