Rick Ross may still be shaken up after becoming the target of a drive-by shooting in late January, but he's not letting it show.
The rapper made a dapper appearance at the Grammys
on Sunday night, where he was nominated for Rap Album of the Year for God Forgives, I Don't, and spoke to reporters for the first time since the incident.
"[There are] no suspects and we not here to speculate on any suspects," he tells MTV's Sway Calloway. "I'm just staying positive, I'm moving forward and I'm just staying on top of my game." Still, Ross claims he realizes the seriousness
of the incident and isn't taking his protection lightly. "You most
definitely gotta make some adjustments, but at the same time I'mma live
my life and I'mma do what I love to do, and that's make music."
The MC, despite losing the Grammy Award to Drake, seemed in a celebratory mood. "Just being nominated, the feeling is surreal and I just feel blessed for the opportunity," he says. "That's what we in this for, that's what we work for. That's what we put in the long hours for, so it's wonderful."
