Bullets all over the wall of the building
Forty Nigerian soldiers surrounded a suspected militant's hideout in Badoo suburb of Sokoto township leading to a fierce gun battle. A soldier and five militants have reportedly died from the ensuing gunfight that lasted hours.

The suspected gun men reportedly rented a flat in a new housing Estate in Bado area,  using the house as their operational base.

Last year, May, Islamist militants in Sokoto were attacked by British and Nigerian soldiers  in a botched attempt to rescue two Europeans held hostage there.

Just last week armed robbers in  broad day light attacked traders at old market and carted away goods and cash worth several millions of Naira after they have injured several people.
