Lionel Messi For a Bargain of £5.25million

A Japanese jeweler has created a 25 kilogram solid pure gold replica statue of the Barcelona player's favored foot, which has been created from a mold in Tokyo.

The man himself will cost a cool $335 million -- but if you're just after Lionel Messi's left foot then it could be all yours for a "bargain" $5.25 million.

Lionel Messi, who was named as the best player in the world for the fourth consecutive time after picking up the prestigious Ballon d'Or in January, has also had a number of smaller creations crafted by Ginza Tanaka.

Speaking at the official unveiling, Messi’s brother Rodrigo said: “It’s exceptional. You can see each line in the foot. It’s an impressive piece of work.”

With part of the proceeds going to charity, perhaps Abramovich or another cash-happy club owner will dig deep and snap up a unique piece of football memorabilia.

Who knows, it may even turn out to be worth more than Fernando Torres in a couple of years — and yes, we do mean a WHOLE Fernando Torres.
