Thousands Gather For Margaret Thatcher's Funeral In London

People have flown in to the United Kingdom from all over the world to pay respects to late prime minister. Some protestors also line the streets with signs to criticize the often celebrated, sometimes reviled world leader.

Thousands gathered in London to say farewell to its Iron Lady with cheers and applause on Wednesday. Britain's former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher was honored at a funeral service at St. Paul's Cathedral with the kind of pomp and circumstance befitting her celebrated - and by some reviled - public service to the United Kingdom.

Not everyone among the thousands who came out were Thatcher supporters. Several protesters carried signs with outspoken messages, including "If only her ideas had died," and people shouted "Waste of money" to criticize the expense being paid for the elaborate affair.
