Kobe Bryant is at serious odds with his parents after accusing his mother Pamela Bryant of stealing $1.2 million worth of memorabilia to sell at auction. Now, the athlete's mother and father Joe Bryant are saying their son is lying.
TMZ
reports that the Bryants were required to give sworn declarations in a
lawsuit between the Los Angeles Lakers star and Goldin Auctions, the
company his mother allegedly tasked with selling his stuff.
In the
testimony, the couple claim that all items put up for auction were gifts
given from Kobe to his mom, and that there was no theft involved.
The rest of the family is starting to take sides in the suit.
Kobe's
grandmother filed a declaration in support of his mother, while his
sister Sharia Washington says their mother has been conspiring to sell her superstar brother's property for years to make a profit.
A judge has temporarily blocked the auction to give the family a chance to resolve the tension, or fight it out in court.
