The boy’s father was also shot in what police said was a targeted attack.
The shooting occurred on Friday evening when the two were in a car.
Police have not identified the suspect who is in custody.

Road, was charged Saturday with first-degree murder, second-degree murder,
attempted first-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder in incidents
that records say occurred on Friday.
At a news conference Saturday in a strip mall parking lot a few blocks from
the shooting scene, Commissioner Anthony W. Batts said police have “a pretty
good grasp on what occurred out here last night.”
He said police believe it was not a random shooting. “But the bottom line to get across to get here is that this level of
violence in this community,” Batts said, “whether it’s Cherry Hill or anywhere
else in the city of Baltimore, has to end.”
After the shooting, police said they chased three or four persons to the
Western District. The officers who chased the suspects “showed a lot of
courage” Batts added.
The shooting took place in the 1200 block of Cherry Hill Road at 7:05 p.m.
Friday, and the child, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at 8:26
p.m. according to Detective Angela Carter-Watson.
The man who was shot was identified by three law enforcement sources as
22-year-old Rashaw Scott, also known as Davon Greene, of the 1000 block of

As of Sunday morning, he was still said to be in critical
