FC Barcelona boss Tito Vilanova insists Cesc Fabregas wants to stay at the club and snub Manchester United.
David Moyes yesterday made a stunning £26million move for the former Arsenal star. But Vilanova has claimed that Fabregas, 26, is happy in Spain and wants to stick it out at the Nou Camp.
At urgent talks following Moyes’ shock raid 24 hours ago, Fabregas told his boss he intended to stay in Catalonia. But he could yet be prised away — if Barcelona tell him is no longer wanted.
Vilanova said: “I’m aware there have been offers. “I had a conversation with him and he told me he wanted to continue here and that he didn’t want to go to another big club."
“He wants to succeed here.”
