Jay-Z Covers NME Magazine

Jay-Z is more than just an entertainment mogul, Jay-Z is crowned the "King of Pop Culture," as proclaimed by the new cover of NME magazine. We've watched him climb his way to the throne and rule over the entire musical kingdom, but the success surrounding his recent effort 'Magna Carta Holy Grail' has been recognized as a game-changer the world over.

Inside the UK publication, Roc Nation's British princess Rita Ora; Tinie Tempah, who's received a Jay-Z stamp of approval; and REM's Michael Stripe were all interviewed for the story.

Stripe, for example, reacts to the Grammy winner borrowing his lyrics for a track off Magna Carta Holy Grail. On "Heaven," Jigga Man pulls from the rock group's "Losing My Religion." Stripe was honored by the mention. "I've known Jay for a long time, he's super cool, super grounded, super smart and super talented," he said. "I've always had the deepest respect for him, and his music and choices. We're thrilled [for our lyrics] to be included, it's a really great honor."

In the last few months, Jay has also landed on the front of Time's prestigious "100 Most Influential" edition and Billboard magazine.

The NME issue hits stands today, and you can grab your copy on newsstands or digitally here.
