George Lucas and his wife Mellody Hobson have welcomed their first child together. Everest Hobson Lucas is the first child for Lucas and Hobson, who married in June.
The baby was born via a surrogate on Friday and representatives for the 69-year-old filmmaker announced the birth on Monday. Hobson, Lucas' second wife, is president of Ariel Investments and chairman of the board for DreamWorks Animation.
The couple began dating in 2006.
Lucas also has daughters aged 32 and 25 and a 20-year-old son.
He was previously married to film editor Marcia Lou Griffin from 1969 to 1983.
