Lamar Odom To Escape Prosecution Over Paparazzi Outburst

Lamar Odom will not face charges following paparazzi outburst last month. According to TMZ, the basketball player has agreed to pay for the damage he caused in the July incident and later would be required to attend an office hearing held by the City Attorney.

Police originally sent the case to the Los Angeles county's D.A. for possible felony charges.

The D.A. later referred the case to the L.A. City Attorney for possible misdemeanor vandalism charge. The athlete reportedly agreed to compensate the damage he caused. Therefore, the City Attorney would summon Lamar and the paparazzi to talk about their rights and responsibilities.

Previously, Odom was caught on camera going ballistic on paparazzi, throwing a paparazzi's belongings from a car's backseat to the middle of the street. He then moved to another car and allegedly smashed it with a metal rod. Although Lamar was angry, he politely obliged a fan's request to take a picture together.

The athlete's wife Khloe Kardashian defended him on Twitter, saying, "F**k the papz!!!!! You f**king losers!!!!! But shout out to my hubby for posing with the fans! I love my Lam! This becomes stalking at some point!!!!! Its wild!!!! #F**kThePaps."

His mother-in-law Kris Jenner also came to his defense, saying in a radio interview that "he's the greatest guy in the world. Lamar doesn't have a temper."
