Newscaster Falls Asleep On Live TV While Hosting 'Fox & Friends'

Tucker Carlson fell asleep on live TV Saturday morning while he was co-hosting Fox & Friends.

The incident happened around 7:30 a.m. When the reading of headlines were being concluded, the cameras switched back to studio, where Carlson was dozing off on the couch, according to source.

Carlson’s co-hosts poked fun at him before he woke up. Mike Jerrick looked at the camera, putting a finger to his lips and pointing to Carlson.

He’s really asleep,” he whispered. Alisyn Camerota laughed, saying, “I don’t think we’re being good co-hosts right now.”

Finally, Carlson woke from his nap. “I know we’re not on television, so doesn’t bother me,” Carlson told his co-hosts. Then he asked, “Is this honestly live?

Carlson was so sleepy because he had stayed up late the night before, sitting in for Sean Hannity on another Fox talk show, according to N.Y. Daily News. Camerota handed Carlson a huge cup of coffee before they went on with the show.
