Simon Cowell Says He'll Leave His Fortune to Charity

Simon Cowell is planning to leave his fortune to charity. The music mogul, who is expecting his first child with girlfriend Lauren Silverman, opens up about the plan in an interview with Esquire magazine.

"I'm going to leave my money to somebody. A charity, probably kids and dogs," says "The X Factor (US)" judge.

He explains, "I don't believe in passing on from one generation to another. Your legacy has to be that hopefully you gave enough people an opportunity, so that they could do well, and you gave them your time, taught them what you know."

Although Cowell rakes in a lot from his shows, the 53-year-old music mogul says that he loves his job and does not plan to retire in the near future. "A lot of people who retire, they hate their job so much, they just love the idea of not working any more. That horrifies me. I'm going to be still working in my 80s or 90s," he reveals.

According to a recent report, the former judge of "American Idol" would be having a baby boy.

"He is over the moon to be having a son," a source close to Cowell told New York Daily News.

In his previous interview with U.K.'s The Times, Cowell said that he had seen sonogram of his baby. However, he did not reveal the sex of his unborn child. "I went to see a scan today and it is just surreal. You literally see this thing which is now alive moving around. I feel very paternal right now," he added.
