Two high school students were arrested after their parents came home early from a weekend trip and found a party going on at their house, police said.
The two girls, 15 and 16 years old, face charges of permitting a minor to possess alcohol. Their names were not released because of their ages, said Agent James Kennedy of the Glastonbury Police.
The girls hosted parties at the Neipsic Road house on Oct. 11 and 12, Kennedy said, attended by 15 to 20 people each night. Their parents were due to return on Monday, and the girls "tried to get another one going" on Sunday night, he said.
CTNow.com reports that the couple had cut short their break but didn’t inform the youngsters they would soon be home. They were shocked to find that 20 to 30 alcohol-drinking youths had taken over their home.
Some fled from the scene as the couple called police. Officers arrived and arrested some of the alleged underage drinkers, including their two daughters.
