[VIDEO] Lil Wayne Premieres 'God Bless Amerika' Music Video

A month after his "God Bless Amerika" music video became much talked-about because of the notorious flag trampling footage that was filmed during the video shoot, Cash Money Records artist Lil Wayne finally premieres the finished product. *Video below*

He early on denied intentionally stepping on the American flag, and it can be said that the controversial scene will never see the light of day in the final edit.

That's exactly what happened on the official version, or as Weezy put it at the time he was clarifying the issue, "In the final edit of the video you will see the flag fall to reveal what's behind it but will never see it on the ground." Indeed, what viewers of the clip will see is a crowd of New Orleans locals that are exposed instantly as the flag goes down.

By featuring his fellow Hollygrove neighborhood residents in the Eif Rivera-directed clip, Weezy hoped to put a real face behind someone who was raised in the hood who doesn't get a chance to escape it, unlike what he was fortunately able to do with his own life. The visuals of the track also features cameos by Birdman and Mack Maine.
