Chris Brown's victory over hit-and-run charges turned out to be a bittersweet legal win for the singer, as of a Friday afternoon (Aug. 17) court ruling. A judge sentenced Brown to 1,000 extra hours of "community labor" and reinstated the terms of his probation in response to allegations that his paperwork was falsified.
Brown was ordered to complete 125 more days of community service in a deal agreed upon in Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge James Brandlin's chambers, a day after his hit-and-run case was dropped. He has until next August to perform highway work or graffiti clean up, an ironic punishment given his previous clash with neighbors over artwork that covered his Los Angeles home.
Prosecutors accused the Grammy winner of submitting records inconsistent with his actual whereabouts during the times of alleged community service. In one instance, the singer was spotted at a charity event in Washington D.C. when paperwork said he was picking up trash in Virginia.

He followed that up with a link to his "Love More" music video featuring Nicki Minaj writing, "while you guys kill yourself over bulls--t ill keep directing stuff like this! Thx team breezy!!"
The 24-year-old recently suffered a non-epileptic seizure brought on by "the continued onslaught of unfounded legal matters and the nonstop negativity," a rep said.
Days before the medical emergency, he contemplated quitting music after the forthcoming release of his X album.
