Chris Brown Retiring From Music After 'X' Album

After turning himself in at a Van Nuys, California jail for an alleged hit-and-run offense, superstar Chris Brown appeared to be turning over a new leaf so the media's attention could be rightfully focused instead on his music and talent.

But as he revealed on Twitter recently, he's actually thinking of retiring from music at the very young age of 24.

"Don't worry mainstream America. After this X album, it'll probably be my last album," wrote Brown to all the haters, expressing his thoughts about quitting after releasing his forthcoming sixth studio album "X" on August 20.

The apparent reason for his decision to turn his back on a successful career was the feeling of being tortured by an unforgiving public for his past mistakes.

"Being famous is amazing when it's for ur music and talent. I'm tired of being famous for a mistake I made when i was 18. I'm cool & over it!" Brown said, referring of course to the infamous assault he committed on then-girlfriend Rihanna when they were still together back in 2009. Despite the apologies and efforts to move on after the storm, so to speak, it has become a permanent stigma on the young superstar.

Not only did it forever taint an otherwise stellar music career for Breezy but the much-publicized incident kicked off a string of other violent events and brushes with the law. Recently, even his own neighbors wouldn't cut him any slack for the home murals he had painted on the walls outside of his Hollywood Hills home which he eventually took down to avoid the issue from escalating further.
