Terrence Howard's Ex Sports Black Eye, Obtains Restraining Order Against the Actor

Terrence Howard's former wife Michelle Ghent showed up in court Tuesday, August 6 with a massive black eye following a claim that she was beaten up by the actor.

After a hearing, she was granted by a judge a temporary restraining order against her ex-husband.

Photos of Ghent with bruises on her face and body were also attached in the documents she earlier filed to seek the protective order against Howard. He is banned from contacting her in any way and has to stay at least 100 yards away from her, pending a next hearing later this month.
Howard denied any wrongdoings. "[The allegations are] completely wrong. Unfortunately there are some documents that will come out and will tell everything that has occurred, but I never laid my hands on that woman or any woman -- that's just not my way," he previously told ET.

In his own legal filings, "Lee Daniels' The Butler" actor claimed Ghent pepper sprayed him, his daughter and his son-in-law, adding that he had text messages to prove she threatened to kill him and his family. He also said his ex-wife had suicidal tendency and suffered from paranoia.

Howard sought restraining order against Ghent as well, but his request was denied by the court.

Ghent filed for divorce from Howard in 2011 after only one year of marriage, claiming he was violent towards her. They reunited for a trip to Costa Rica with his family members last week. Argument between them erupted, leading to both parties accusing each other of assault.

Ghent alleged that Howard punched her, grabbed her neck and threw her against a wall.
