President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, on Tuesday
described the Boston Marathon bombings in the United States as an
assault on human freedom.
The President expressed his condolence to the families of the victims and Americans in general.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, made Jonathan’s position known in his Twitter handle.
“President Jonathan has described the
Boston Marathon bombings as an act of cruelty, an assault on human
freedom and a sad day for athletics. On behalf of the people and
government of Nigeria, President Jonathan expresses his heartfelt
condolences to the affected families and the people of the US,” Abati
wrote.
