Kerry Washington Marries Nnamdi Asomugha

Star actress Kerry Washington is a married woman. She tied the knot with San Francisco 49ers cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha in a low-key ceremony on June, 24. E! News reported that their wedding took place in Blaine County, Idaho.

Kerry's parents Valerie and Earl became witnesses in the ceremony, while Nnamdi's sister officiated. Kerry and Nnamdi reportedly had been dating since summer 2012. This is the first wedding to the 36-year-old actress. She previously was engaged to actor David Moscow for a few years before splitting in 2007.

The Vanity Fair's August 2013 cover girl keeps stories of her private life for herself. Even for the August issue of the fashion magazine, she only dishes on her role as Olivia Pope on "Scandal".

On June 19, she announced to her 1 million Twitter followers that she would take a break from the social media.

"Tweeples! Im taking a tweet break WHAT?!..Yup! U will NOT hear from me 4 a month, but know that Im thinking of u #Gladiators w/much LUV!" she told her fans.

After winning Best Actress at BET Awards, however, the actress was back to Twitter for a while to thank fans for their support. She wrote in an excited-sounding tweet, "Im STILL on vacay & twitter hiatus but...I COULDNT RESIST THANKING U ALL! So gr8ful 4 @BETAwards win! Thx 4 VOTING! BEST FANS EVER!"
