Meagan Good Slammed by Christians For BET Awards Dressing

In the past, Meagan Good was known for her sultry personality and most of her movie roles oozed with sex appeal. However, in more recent years, the 31-year-old actress has toned down her sensual persona— something that many attribute to her growing faith and marriage to Hollywood exec, preacher, Devon Franklin.

For the BET Awards, the 'Think Like a Man' actress shocked many when she ventured away from the safe, more conservative get-ups that we’ve grown accustomed to seeing her in and  stunned on the red carpet rocking a beautiful royal blue with a plunging J.Lo-esque neckline.

 

 

 

In no time social media sites buzzed with comments criticizing Meagan for her gown selection and her connections to the church.

 

 

 

Although Twitterverse made light of the situation, conversations that brewed on Facebook had more serious, rather judgmental undertones.

“That dress is very inappropriate for a minister’s wife. I was shocked,” one Facebook user chimed in.

“All I can say is there are a whole lot of minister’s wives out here that are not FIRST LADIES!” another added.

“As a male, girl is fine! I’ve got to be honest. But that is a distraction from her witness. As a minister, there is nothing appropriate about her choice of wardrobe. That is not the example to be setting for Christian young women. Way past too over the top!”
