Lupe Fiasco Responds To Kendrick Lamar

Lupe Fiasco was in a sharing mood yesterday. After dropping his "#DopeFrancis (American Trap)" track, the MC gave fans "SLR 2," a response to Kendrick Lamar.

Hours after Lamar's "King of New York" verse off Big Sean's "Control" hit the net, Twitter reactions flooded social media, until Joell Ortiz was the first to step forward with a rap response.

In comparison, Lupe is far less ferocious than Ortiz, and doesn't name the TDE rapper directly. "I ain't competition, I don't move s---/The only opposition is this new s---," he rhymes.

Later in the record he takes aim at Lamar's looks and perceived arrogance.

"He's so crazy, look at the little baby/ N---- you ain't Nas, n---- you ain't Jay Z, you will respect me, you will reject me/But I've done so much, no matter how far you go, you will reflect me."

"SLR 2" is both a lyrical and sonic deviation from some of Lupe's previous work but even that wasn't enough to garner a reaction from Lamar.

The Compton native has yet to speak on any of the rebuttals to his controversial line.
