8 Animals Who Were Born With Two Heads

THEY say two heads are better than one - and that’s certainly true when it comes to freaky animal virals. It was revealed how scientists had found the world’s first ever two-headed bull shark.

Experts who examined the baby beast, found off the coast of the Gulf of Mexico, confirmed it was indeed a double-header and not conjoined using X-rays.we cast our net out over the freaky pond that is the web in search of two-faced, two-headed and twice-as-odd beasts.

The Cat

Meet Frank and Louie: One cat with two faces and their own Guinness World Record.
He's a Janus cat which means he was born with three eyes, two noses and two mouths.
Most cats of this type - named after the Roman god with two faces - only live for a matter of hours, but these two have been alive for more than 12 years.

The Cuban Slider turtle

This little fella was found by a police officer at the banks of the Almendares River in Havana, Cuba.

The Piglet

Rudy, the two-headed pig, stands in the grass on the farm of Scott and Vicki Vorwald, in Iowa, US. Rudy was sold to the Los Angeles-based animal rescue organization "Pigs Without Partners" in late March 1998. Most two-headed pigs are stillborn or die shortly after birth.

The Baby Croc

This photograph was taken at Samut Prakarn Crocodile Farm on the outskirt of Bangkok, Thailand. The tiny crocodiles - born measuring 17cms long and weighing just 70g - share a body and have a total of eight legs and two tails.

The snake

A US aquarium purchased this 6-year-old snake for around £12,000 after the owner put an advert out for it. Experts swooped, knowing most two-headed snakes don't live longer than a couple of months.

The tiny tortoise

This extremely rare tortoise was discovered in the Western Cape. Experts reckon it might have been the product of a genetic deviation during the development of the embryo.

The Cow

A cow gave birth to a calf with two heads in Georgia - but it was rejected by its mother. Despite that, it managed to stay alive and was brought up drinking from bottles.
